A full trip

Ellen walking home from NYC. We had a full trip and we were happy to get home. On Saturday night we went to Angelica's Kitchen for some vegan food. I had been there with Mark and knew to avoid some of the more flavorless dishes. I got a seitan burrito that was spicy and good. Ellen had a nice veggie casserole. Our waiter spoke about 6 words to us during the whole meal. We then headed to Pianos in the lower east side to a Believer Magazine music event with Hannah Marcus, Rick Moody, Daniel Smith, and Wolf Parade. Hannah Marcus was great despite being nervous because her mother was in the audience (along with the parents of two of her band mates). Rick Moody interviewed Daniel Smith about his Christian music which is, like Sufian Stevens, actually pretty interesting in a screechy kind of way. I need to hear more before I make up my mind (about the music, not about the religion). Wolf Parade was good but way too loud. The guitarist was way too skinny too. But they are Canadian and so how could you not like them. We were supposed to get free copies of the Believer but since we left early the mean woman overseeing the issues denied us our copies.
