What are you listening to?
I just recently discovered the joys of RSS readers (it is like TIVO for blogs). In the midst of adding subscriptions, I found the great Teaching The Indie Kids To Dance Again blog. Sufyan Stevens has been in my regular playlist lately and today a new song from his Illinois album showed up! He is slowly creating an album for each of the 50 states and so far he has two: Michigan and Illinois. So after I found this song, it got me to thinking, what are you listening to? I want to know!
My short list:
The Decemberists/Coldplay/The Firey Furnaces (I am learning to love the bands that are playing Austin City Limits Festival in September)
Bobby Bare Jr
Old 97's
Keith Jarrett (Fresh Air recently replayed an old interview and made me want to listen to Koln Concert over and over while I worked)
Melissa Ferrick (especially Willing to Wait-- she is playing Cats Cradle tonight)
Enough about me, I really do want to know what you are listening to!
